SLNugget
I am a wuss and did not want to fight the heat in Morristown this summer so I am spending the summer in Duvall, WA. The diff in temps is very nice and there has been no rain here........yet! I stopped at the Yuba River and ran my sluice for a few hours on the way up here thanks to my friend Scott. Pretty fun on the river and actually got a little gold. Surprising as I only dug a few buckets of material before getting back on the road. I traveled the backroads and really enjoyed the amazing scenery and slower pace than going by the Interstates, Here are a couple of pics. Steel Pan
Was that on the North Fork of the Yuba River? If it is, I think I know where you were. Looks like one of the GPAA claims. Never worked it myself, but others seem to be havingsome pretty good luck.
