homefire
Yea, we use that crap too. Funny how it quits working when it gets down to the teens.
grubstake
Not mine so far, not once in 16 yearsw, and Mariposa has got down to 13 last year, it was down to 18 this year already, but I don't think it will get that low anymore this year. The Buzzards have already came back from South America. Grubstake
homefire
We use 20Gl tanks and when they get cold the stuff just does not Pressure. Shuts down. I think the stuff there selling here is rubbish. Dang, that's when you need it the most. If I poor some hot water over the tank it will wake up again. grubstake
My tank is a 287 gallon tank, I have it filled when it gets to 40%, and it still costs me an arm and a leg. Propane in Mariposa right now is $4.34 a gallon. Grubstake
Uncle Ron
Yep, the desert critters around Wickenburg are breeding about a month early this year ... We usually have three or four dove couples nest on different parts of our house but they never even start piling twigs until mid-March ... This year they've been hard at it for the last 10 days... Dove porn is rampant and their call seem extra beautiful this year, as are the cactus wrens' songs! ... Cheers, Unc

Bedrock Bob
Gonna be 85 degrees today. Hadn't seen a freeze in a few weeks. The peaches are in full bloom and have green leaves. The dove here never migrated in the fall. The birds are everywhere already. This is not just a warm winter...it is spring already. It started in mid January. The ground temps are a full 20 degrees above normalThe mesquites never even lost their leaves this year. Many have been green since last April. Its trout season man! Bugs are everywhere and the flies never went away. I saw a praying mantis last night while I was working in my tee shirt. Heck, it should be the depths of winter right now.If it does not rain (again) this summer we are in for one hell of a rough time. This is as dry as it has been ever. I can count the inches of moisture we have had in the last five years on my fingers. No water for irrigation. No grass. No tank water. Hundreds of semis hauling hay into the desert to feed range cattle. Big time weather problems in all agricultural areas.I for one am glad they are making plans to deal with it. It looks like this is a pattern and will continue for some tiime.
homefire
The mesquites All bear here. Colder up here. But a few more days like this and the Snakes will be out. Hell, there probably already out in the flats.
