You aren't just going to find that laying around the surface. Thanks for posting the pictures. The specimens are beautiful.

The Found Dutchman 37
WOW, that is great. Wonder the size of that pieceIf I was to venture a guess, I would say 10" wide- 6" high imhoI wonder if Adam knows the specific location? All it says is Gila County, Az ... which isn't much to go on. pennigold 37
Bought a tripod and am in the process of learning to take better quality photos. Have some tweaking to do withthe camera still.Any one want to venture a guess at what this might be worth. I want to sell a few of my minerals to buy a metal detector for my daughter. Au Seeker 3,153
Penni, Maybe you can take some of your specimens to the Tucson Gem and Mineral show coming up soon and get some input as to value, I'm not sure what the rules are at the show on selling but maybe you could sell some there as well, I'm sure Johnno or his wife Kat would know if you can sell there. Kat just posted about the show on the forum, get in touch with her and maybe she or Johnno can advise you if you can go to the show. http://www.nuggetshooter.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=26245

Same as Meteorites, Fossils, and stuff.
Bedrock Bob 3,997
Penni,Skip is right on. Johnno and Kat are the real deal and will steer you right. The formations are way beyond cool. I have seen ancient beads made from those tubes but I have never seen a specimen of one unless it was in a cave or a collection.Homefire has a point. There has been problems in caves and material like that could raise questions. I would be darn careful if you don't know exactly where they were collected. Simply because that type of material would raise so many questions from a BLM or FS. types. Just be careful and be prepared.Cave minerals, vertebrate fossils and authentic artifacts get a lot of scrutiny.Super specimen! You won't have problems finding a buyer at a good price. I want to sell a few of my minerals to buy a metal detector for my daughter. If you can't go to Tucson or find a dealer to visit you, you'll have to send photos to dealers and get their opinions as to value. Need a ruler beside specimens for reference as to size. Ask if they are wholesale or retail valuations. The more opinions you get, the better. There's also some mineral auctions where you can list your specimens. Kind of like eBay but specialize in minerals, fossils, etc. In any case,be patient as haste makes waste.
