boulder dash
On Saturday I hit a old patch that is really getting hard to score at. All the monsoons this year moved alot of dirt around. Spent a few hours removing overburden(placer prospecting) for the 2 small bits. The largest one was up stream in a odd volume 7 channel down about 4 inchs and was just a wisper. All and all not bad for 3 hours and close to home.
SLNugget
Really nice for a quickie trip. Did you use your Christmas panning kit to help locate those pieces? ;-)

boulder dash
I've been using my new panners kit at home only. I have been teaching myself how to pan with both hands at the same time. Ambidextrous panning or ambipanning as I call it to increase my gold finds. Next I will move up to detecting with two hands..
Old Tom
Mr. Dash, You don't need any new methods in finding gold even opening up your other eye. Anyone that has a gold sniffing dog and can pan with both hands surely has the advantage of the rest of us. However you did leave one for me after our last hunt and I appreciate it very much. Do you ever get to smell the skunk? Old Tom
