RafterLazyG RockHounder
Hello everyone! So I found these trekking around the jungle with my mother when I was 13. I'm pretty sure (please correct me if I'm wrong) the blue is Azurite with a little Malachite, The green is Malachite, and I have no clue about the gray bubbly one (please help identify!) Au Seeker
I believe that your gray bubbly one is Hematite, which comes in many forms, in this case Hematite nodules.http://www.mindat.org/min-1856.html
Haderly
I agree with your Id's along with Hematite for the gray one.
adam
Yep, Botroidial sp? Hematite and a stalagmite replaced by Malachite i.e. Pseudomorph / Malachite after calcite stalagmite.
Au Seeker
Thanks Adam, that was the term I was meaning to use instead of nodules, dang CRS, Botryoidal Hematitehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Botryoidal
The Found Dutchman
I didn't realize this was a XXX rated forum if you know what I mean. lolSeriously though, specimens like those can sell for a lot of money assuming they aren't damaged in any way. d_day
First one looks like psilomelane to me. If that's what it is, then you've got a museum quality piece there.
