mn90403 980
Shep,You wanted to see Fred paste some goodies to get you back out with that 3030 you have. I think Fred's camera is broken so I'll post some of my 3030 beach finds. These are all recent finds but I have been out there for a few hours to get them. There is a picture of non-rings which includes a heart earring. That one is 18k, 13.5 g with 3 diamond that were F/VS1 when made by the manufacturer. The rings are 'fun' because of the eye ring but also there are 2 gold rings, a silver and the one with the big stones which I found last night. I think they are CZ but ... and the last picture is from a single area of finds on one night. The coins, the watch, the pairs of earrings were all found within 40 feet of each other. Do you know how odd it is to find any 'pair' of something at the beach but to find 4 pairs ... I would like to know the real story on why they were there when I went there.Mitchel

fredmason 1,135
Nice finds, Mitchel...I think you have found the night-time running wild spot...bare everything and anything goes...OR, someone was mad at the owner of those pairs of earrings...fred
mn90403 980
Fred,I agree. Was someone MAD or was it a TRIBUTE? The coins are cool and I put a battery in the old Seiko watch and it works. One thing I do know is that I hit different beaches but I spend a lot of time at it. I wish I could spend as much time looking for meteorites or gold in the desert but it takes me 4 hours to get there. And for Hoser John, a 3030 and other detectors gives you a good idea of what is trash so you don't have to dig it. My SE Pro would let me do that also but the 3030 is much better.Mitchel
The Found Dutchman 37
Nice finds from beach. That Seiko may be old but looks like gold. Hey an advertising jingle....
mn90403 980
I just noticed that the pictures I uploaded have been 'dumbed down' to a point where they are not very clear. If you want to look at more detail and see some captions please go here.https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/101421522673623412677/albums/5907682370052580625Sometimes it is nice to know what you are looking at.Mitchel
shep 219
Michel, Thanks appreciate it! Bass Lake was way down for several years and the ol farts hit it pretty hard. When water starts dropping, I will hit it and look for new stuff lost this year. Thanks, Shep

mn90403 980
I went out last night and on my first scoop I got a ring of about 2.8g. Then 3 hours later it was still the only real thing I found.Mitchel
