That is a silicate, the most common class of mineral on the planet and the one thing you will never see in a meteorite.It is microcrystalline agate. A fairly common one at that. There are a few identifying traits of a meteorite. You should learn those so you will be able to identify meteorites vs. common earth rocks. When a specimen does not have obvious earthy qualities and does have meteoritic qualities it is a candidate for further investigation.
