bigrex
Just passing this along, for Nevadans..."Attention Nevadans... As you may be aware, the senate has passed SB 221, which is a massive infringement on our 2nd amendment rights - the right which protects all others. Now it goes to the Governor to sign, or veto. Governor Sandoval is seeking our will on this. He has set up a special hotline for this issue. All you have to do is call this number and push 2 to vote for a veto. It takes seconds to do. Please take a moment out of your day to protect your future. After voting, please pass this on to every Nevadan you know, and please tell them to act quickly. This issue may be decided today. The number is (775) 684-5670 Please call from each phone you have! Thank you for doing your duty as a free citizen".

Steel Pan
The Gov. set up a polling line for people to vote for or against the law.Out of 2,200 votes, 1,700 voted AGAIST the law.

Au Seeker
I'm a bit confused...1 i am not a nevadian..but what prevents anybody legally able to vote or not from making the call and voting ? This law will affect all if/when you visit Nevada, so I think most all have a say in this law, no matter where you live if you plan on a visit to Nevada!! Steel Pan
The "voting" was a public opinion poll, not a normal statewide vote.I need to update my previous figures of the results,...A total of 35,000 calls were received.28,000 callers voted against.7,000 voted for.I heard and saw Gov. Sandoval state, on local TV, that he would veto the bill.

Nugget Shooter
Seems in some states we still have a voice.... For now anyway. Good on NV's guvna!
Jim Gilmore
I understand your point about most of us having a say...But these kind of popularity polls worry me...What happens when somebody figures out that 1,000,000 phonecalls from the middle east can be used to affect what the governor of az will veto or not veto ??
