SGTFDA
Picked up a keene dw212v on Craigslist for $300 in nice shape. I removed the hand crank wheel for easy transport. I not turning it by hand and I don't think I can get Glenn to do it. At least not for long. Tried it out and works great. What do you use for lube. I did put some rem dry lube on it but I wondered what everyone uses.
chrisski
I was also wondering this. I want to lubricate the hopper door on my dry washer and did not want to use oil, but I was wondering if the graphite would do the same thing with gold sticking to it like regular oil. frank c
Dry lubes only on drywashers, any wet type will pick up sand etc. like a magnet and form a cutting oil.I use graphite dry lubes
SGTFDA
Frank is that the same as the spray you use in locks or a powder?
frank c
Its a powder. Usually comes in a plastic bottle with a pointy applicator top.if its a spray bomb it probably has a liquid solution as a vehicle, no good.
heybeerman
I have a spray graphite lube that works great. I sprays on just like spray paint. When the host solvent evaporates there is no stickyness. Made by slip plate I think, I will have to check when I get home. Frank, You can try it out at the LSD get together is you want. Nugget Shooter
Lube on DW makes grinding compound, have never used any on my puffers. Have never tried dry spray and likely won't...
