Nice looking specimens. You can clean the iron off with muriatic acid, that might make the

quartz look nicer.

Way to go!

Doug, if there's one thing I would have for the GMT, it's Jim McCullough's GMT book. He's all but made a living off the GMT. Wait, he DOES make a living off the GMT - selling them and finding gold.

But I'm sure you already knew all that.

Glenn, I don't know what else that I can do. I find the smallest specks with mine. I have two GMT's,with 4 coils,2 stock, a Gold Max, and a 3 1/2 x 7 D/D Shooter . I bought my first detector from Jim. Thanks anyway

if weight is a problem then the Hipstick and Swingy-Thingy are the answers....in my never humble opinion...

Also, the more gold you find the lighter the detector gets.
