Hells bells Terry...

You've got more of my photos at --Real Gold Nuggets-- a big nugget from the honker patch at 0:46 sec and another one at 2:11 minutes.

"I believe In the true spirit of American capitalism" .... to use your words, if you want to pay for these photos you can buy the rights to them otherwise please take them down now!

Am I going to have to spend days looking through all your slide shows looking for my photos?

Russ

Hello Guys, I'm famous, my pictures are all over the net also. I am pretty sure those nuggets were found in Northern California, I dont think I went to Arizona to find them... I am getting old however... I do remember giving copyright to Fisher Labs though, as they were found with the GB Pro. Thanks, TRINITYAU/RAYMILLS

Ray, do you want me to pull yours to? I love those nuggets! I love putting together these compilations, and they are meant to please - not upset. I have some from Steve (El Dorado) and many others. Sure did not mean to start a firestorm.

OK, I pulled them all off YouTube. I really want to do this "the right way," so that I am not upsetting prospectors that I admire and look up to - which was never my intent in the first place. I won't be giving away any GPX machines, but Vince Gifford is giving me a few Tesoro machines this year so I will give a couple of those away at some point. I also have the Gray Ghost headphones, and a set of Killer B's (sorry Frank, no Black Widows). If anyone wants to let me use their photos – with proper accreditation I would love to use it! I am truly sorry for angering Russ and Ray, and anyone else that felt slighted. I didn’t think it would upset anyone and I was wrong. I’ll take my whipping, try and make it right, and move on.

Since we are on the subject of pictures, if you post a picture on the internet, don't they all eventually find their way to googles search engine?

PM recieved, I'm not that cheap Terry! People put their pictures up on these forums to share their finds with their friends and fellow prospectors. I don't have a problem if someone takes a photo for their personal pictures, but you are taking our stuff off Bill's or Rob's or Chris' forums and promoting your gold adventures business for profit! If you can't see anything wrong with that you've been in New York City too long!

Bill has a picture page or finds page, not one photo is used without permission.

I'm not looking through all 70 or 80 youtube videos you have, if you have my 6 ounce honker nugget photo or any other of my stuff please remove now.

Sure it does Rim, but the person taking that photo still owns it, period. Soooo if you want it for use to promote a business you MUST seek permission from the owner with an offer to give credit if desired. Yes many show up a social media and still the picture taker owns the photo. Much of my stuff ends up scattered all over, BUT if you use it to advertise sales of stuff at a website and I come across I have every right to ask it is removed immediately. Yup I have been through this and had the folks remove my material and you do not need a copyright tag or watermark just proof it is your photo.

So if you take a photo from my photobucket page and add it to a blog about gold is that OK? most times yes, but asking will not hurt.

Taking that same photo and attaching it to an add to sell prospecting gear without asking? Wrong and illegal without consent of owner.

I always ask before using any photo at my main site without permission as some just do not like me using their stuff to promote my business.... But you can ask for permission as I often do here at the forum when changing my picture rotation at NuggetShooter.com and when folks say "sure" they go up.

Moving them around here at the forum or the ones shared at social media anr not an issue for me at all or I would not have posted them in the first place.

Cheers, Bill

I have mixed emotions about this. Terry has used some of my photos as well, my problem is that flattering or theft? Still up in the air. I recently posted a picture on Facebook of one of my rings. One of my friends really liked it and commented he wanted to make one just like it. I reminded him that it was an original work of art and therefor is copy writed. He asked for the official copy write and I had no paperwork to prove it but showed him copy write law. Well, just to be on the safe side, I actually applied for and was granted a copy write for that design. It took cash and three months, but that design is 100% mine and now resides in the Library of Congress and on a wall in my studio. Certain elements of that design may also be worthy of a patent.

Anyway, if I ever come to the conclusion that the photos of mine that Terry is using is genuine theft, I will ask that they be removed. Until then I am leaning to the flattery direction. However, I wish he would include credit info with photos he uses.

In the music business, they used to use a poor mans copyright, copied material, placed in a manilla enevelope and sent to yourself, certified mail It was recognized by the court. Take as many pictures and diagrams and include all related data, and don't open it when recieved until needed.... I am not and attorney, but this will offer proof of your design and when it was created... Good health and good hunting. PS I have seen your jewelery designs on your page and they are quite stunning, and thanks for your service :D

That was my point Steve, if one has no problem then it is not a problem and not theft or using without permission....

I am just careful because I run an online business and do not want to have this type of issue so I ask. Really quite easy to do and saves hassles for me.

Some folks prefer their material is not used without asking is all it boils down to and others could care less....

Wait one second. As all you guys are past students of Terry's training adventure program don't you think he can use the results of all that training. You did say you study the videos

Sorry could not help myself

Terry if you want you can use a picture of the Butt Crack nugget Angie found at LSD. Not the biggest nugget in the world but what a view watching it being found. Plus it would give your students a idea of a normal everyday if your lucky AZ nugget

One thing about you-tube is that everything you post there is free for anyone to use,,,,unless you go thru and find the private button. If you mark it private it can't be used other wise its open to all. I found this out on one of my video's being used by a Calif. gold site, They said it was taken from you-tube and wasn't marked private. I hadn't checked all of you-tubs rules, it was my mistake

Hey Terry, I just got back from prospecting and saw the post from this morning. I have no problem with you using the photos, however, as I said in my post Fisher Labs has copyright for ads and articles. That may pose a problem. TRINITYAU/RAYMILLS

That's not necessarily true Allen, check this video out, he explains in detail how to get your vid removed from another channel, I tried it and it worked and now the pirates are shut down. All you have to do is...well it's all in the video.

Thanks so much Ray. I just went ahead and deleted all of the gold nugget compilations on my channel, because I thought a lot about it and hurt some good people's feelings without meaning to. I love seeing your - and everyone's finds. Thank you, and again I apologize!

Right click Terry says he repented and learned his lesson Bob! I was reading about some software photo tracking programs that track your photos on line. I might give it a try it and set out some bait... you know some juicy gold porn photos that will give Terry a wet dream, and see if he takes the bait. :evil1:

That is what all these sleazy guys tell the judge and then they just go out and do it again. It is the same old story all the time. "I learned my lesson. I am so sorry! I wont ever do it again!" the next thing you know he is sitting in his underwear in some flophouse in Hoboken looking at a close up of your big ol' rough lumps on his monitor. It has to stop somewhere.

I got no dog in this fight so if you want to give him a second chance that is fine by me. But mark my word he would benefit from a five second head start on two pounds of chorizo and a case of Winchester high brass.

Just my two cents.
