I guess this is OK to share here...

Well, it is really still is out there, here is what's called a recent find as presented by Mr. Gerry McMullen and his friend who found the whopper:  I don't know any more about it than what is detailed in the video. Actually, I'm not sure if it is a NV nugget.

What a coinky-dink...Gerry had just subbed me on youtube last night, right before I went to bed, and I hadn't had the opportunity to check his vids out. Very cool looking nugget.

Wow!!!! What a chunk o'gold! ... Interesting that it gave a reverse signal .... That 2 ounce pocket I hit a few months ago also gave a reverse signal ... Dig 'em all! Cheers, Unc

Interesting that some people actually walk away from a certain signal?

I really dont care what kind of a signal it is....I usually just dig anything up no matter what the signal sounds like, sharp smooth ect. I play a little game with the signal before digging trying to guess how deep it is, size and what type of metal. Getting better at it.

I have to admit I have walked away before...100 plus deg. out, detected for a half day, walking back through a

trash area and get a signal that goes for 2 feet wide.

Yah, I know, it could have been my retirement nugget

Great video Rex,

Glad you decided to share with us.

Very cool reverse signal info.

I'll bet there are a lot of people remembering

a signal they heard in the field that sounded a lot like that.

A great find.

I recently camped and hunted with the very skilled finder of that nugget and got to feel the weight in my hand....... it was a joy to behold. It is going to make for a family heirloom piece. Sorry for the second pic out of focus, but you can see just how thick it is. So glad I no longer have to keep this find a total secret, but the who and where will remain top secret.......... Enjoy

Very nice find!

The least you could do, Gerry, is provide us with more surrounding background scenery...

Jest saying...

OMG what a heart stopping nugget!

Way to go, mystery man!

That is indeed the find of a lifetime. The video also made my evening frank c. Wish I had seen it in person, that would have been quite a moment. One lucky nugget hunter that is for sure! :worship: Thanks for sharing more about it Steve (El Dorado), I had trouble even keeping the video to myself for less than an hour, heh. Just need to find one, two or even three of those a year to make a living.

Note, I requested last night that the competing detector business be taken out of the title, AU Seeker obliged, even though I knew Bill would be good natured about the title and realize it was just my intent to share the nugget find with everyone. So, if you saw it disappear, that is why.

John,

Here's a few links that may help you learn how to delete the GPS info from those pictures.

This link seem to cover most all of the devices used to capture a photo.
