To get ICMJ you either have to subscribe to the paper magazine, or both online and paper.

It's worth the subscription price (it's not one of those $18/yr things... I think it's around $40 for one with discounts for multiple years)

Chris Ralph is a member here and is an associate editor as well as a degreed Mining Engineer.

Mr Straight, thanks for mentioning me and the article, I hope you enjoyed reading it.

I hope my article is of worth to someone...

Ray has written a fine article about crevicing...extremely detailed and low tech. Anybody can do it.

I always dread to see what the Editors have done to me...but, that is their way.

Bill, did you get my e-mail?

I just got to reading my November issue and, literally, just got to Fred's article.

Will get to enjoy it this evening.

The dredging Oregon story was certainly enjoyable... until that twist at the end.

I have enjoyed reading the ol' CMJ (California Mining Journal) as it was first known, but it was widely known

throughout the western mining districts . I still have two or three copies dating back as far as the 1930's.

In the early days it was more personal and chatty... But gosh the CMJ kept up with the times and grew,

whille other publications such as the Mining World went out of print.

It has been in print for now over 80 years... It grew during the early days of the Great

Depression; then a single copy was either 10 or 15 cents, A prospector/ miner would buy a copy and

then pass it along to others; back when a quarter bought a loaf of bread and a quart of milk with a

couple of pennies back in change...

Today it is widely known as the ICMJ (International California Mining Jourmal).
