wyndham 1
I saw this rock flailer/hammer mill on you tube the other day as well as several homemade ones, one powered by a chainsaw. Just wondering if anyone has tried any of these and what the general opinion.Even thought the one in the video is a $4,000 comercial unit, others have made their own .Just wondering, Wyndham
boulder dash 1,244
Yes I have one. It has quite a few design flaws that I had to overcome. It wont crush 1 ton an hour like they claim. I basically had to invent a few things just to run my first bucket of ore. There are to many things to wright that were fixed. Now that I have it running the way I want it I am happy and it has more than paid for it self. Just make your own
wyndham 1
Thanks, I was looking to make one myself. I ssaw they upgraded to heat hardend hammers.Did you go with hammers are stayed with the trucking chain? If you went with the hammers, how did you attach them to the shaft?Anything else I might want to look out for. Thanks Wyndham
boulder dash 1,244
The chain was a joke. Had to make my own hammers put a little hard face on them and that helps. Use different lengths of bolts so I can adjust as needed.
