Buckeye Boy
I have done some of the online tests. Window, streak, and Magnet. There are metalic flakes inside and on the crust. The streak test will only leave a streak if I scratch it many times or very hard. The streak test was performed on the window. The maget sticks well but changes throughout the specimine. This was found in the Morristown area. What do you think?
Mikestang
Without pictures the possibilities of what you found are infinite.

Nugget Shooter
That is very likely a piece of the Wickenburg Chondrite by the look of it and there have been allot of nice specimens coming out of the Vulture Mountain area over the years. The dark grey/black interior and metal specks is a dead give away along with the area you mentioned.I have seen many found by friends though I have yet to find one of my own. They are spotty and not much info on find locations is being shared with the public for obvious reasons. This being a photo I can not say for sure, but I am betting you just may have one and if you want to stop in so I can have a look one of these days I can make a better guess. The other in the Morristown area being found on occasion is Trilby Wash, but the interior of youurs looks to dark and more like Wickenburg.... Buckeye Boy
It weighs 20 grams and was found on the surface with only a foot scrape. I will get it to you one of these days so you can take a look. I have been up and down on this for the last couple of days and now I am up again. Thanks for all your help. Uncle Ron
I can tell you with 99.9% certainty that is a Wickenburg chondrite ... I have found quite a few of them ... I have lots of photos but they are lost somewhere in the bowels my computer and I simply can't find them ... I hate Microsoft!!! ... Cheers, Unc
Uncle Ron
OK, I found two photos ... I have about a hundred but this is the only one I can find ... It weighs 99.4 grams and was buried about 10" deep... Cheers, Unc

Buckeye Boy
Thanks everyone for the info. I was not even aware there were known finds in the area. I detected several small areas of interest over about a square mile. There was no other evidence of digs in this location so maybe there are more to be found. I dont post much on the forums but
