mbrown
Hey Guys,I finally found a Meteorite I'm 99.9% sure of! It weighs 24.9 grams - Has Iron Flakes with both the naked eye and with a loupe(checked to make sure they weren't crystals, they're metallic colored through and through!) - Appears to have chondrules on the back side - and of course is magnetic - Has what appears to be a Rollover Lip as well! Here's a link to my web album:https://picasaweb.go...feat=directlinkMatt
Mikestang
Looks like magnetite to me. Did you window the stone? Bulk density? Streak color?
mbrown
Haven't done density. There's no color for the streak and there's lots of metallic flakes spaced throughout both to the naked eye and under the loupe
adam
I dont know ANYTHING about meteorites, but that looks like magnetite, or maybe like an ironstone.
mbrown
Here's a link to more close ups. These aren't reflections but straight metal colored from all angleshttps://picasaweb.google.com/111866942434947051020/M3?authuser=0&authkey=Gv1sRgCPTu8JeKjr3m_AE&feat=directlink
