weaver hillbille
Yes it is a great resource. This greenhorn recruit has plenty to learn there. Another that I read about in Rock and GEm is the BLM's "GEoCommunicator" site at www.GEOCOMMUNICATOR.gov . Still trying to figure out how to get it to give up mining claims info. I thought I was on the right track, but then was getting a 404 error. Maybe I should read the directions first
Goldfinger
I don't think you can get the claims information on that website anymore. At least that's what I was lead to believe.Steve

weaver hillbille
oh well, still useful. I found the shading somewhat different and spotted an ancient fault zone adjacent to our land, that I hadn't spotted on GoogErth, until now. The TOPO feATURE is helpful, too. weaver hillbille
http://www.co.yavapa...GISMapping.aspx found mining claim data on assessor's site. I would bet that most county sites have this info( at least inAZ).
weaver hillbille
http://www.azgs.az.gov/services_azgeomap.shtml found another site while on this quest- The Arizona GEologicical Survey( who would have thought ) accidentally confirming my post, two back, there's a thrust fault in that exact location trending the same way( aprox NW) and a strike slip fault zone perpinducular to it that EArth "showed" me.
