Pocket Gold outcropping

Recommended Posts

Interesting video Geo. I hope someone comes along and explains what you're seeing. Could the red be gossans? Being a rookie, that's where I would start digging.

RIm,

Indeed, I have id'd talc zone, lemonite with grey clay with mud layer on top then "gossan?" with quartz stringers, then the quartz vein, rinse repeat on the other side of the quartz.

Also, have the mud stone ledge full of pyrite striking at an angle and entering the quartz vein strike at the start of the video and where the old timers first cleaned out the vein. Very rich AU from that digging in the tailings.

Samplings from just about every section has very small gold but not enough to warrant crushing and processing. ugh. Looking for the pocket.

Got some of the gold from the diggings on sale in the classified.

I'd be going for the red crumbly stuff. Monzonite like.

Nothing like it, quartz is bull in the vein, really, really red stained in the "gosan" on both sides of the vein but nothing like the image in Wikipedia on Monzonite.

I do recognize that as what is on the claim in another area though.

Thanks.
