Rodd in B.C.
Why do some metal detecting companys make their coils black, orange,or other dark colours why notall white to reflect the heat instead of absorbing it on a real cold morning thecoil wire shrinks then at 0015 hours say 95 degrese in the sun the wires have all expandedand could now be loose and ratteling around and causing who knows what????Rodd

garimpo
I'm gonna make a guess it's product recognition....down here that's the last thing I want to happen....when all of yoursurroundings are dark green anything white can be spotted 1/2 mile away....that's also why it's a bad thing to scrapeyour coil here....the noise can be heard 200 yards away but you can't see them....
