today's gold nuggets and a primative crevassing tool

Little Bro and I went to 3 old nugget patches today all in the same Mt range, I found the 4 nuggets on the left and little Bro found the 2 on the right. The grandkids were playing with grandpa's gold scale and broke them so I don't know what they the nuggets weight. .

Little Bro found some old timers what looks like a home made crevassing tool, he took a brass shell casing drove a nail through the primer and made a nice little crevassing tool. The nail is still nice and tight and the brass makes a nice grip for your fingers, it's pretty ingenious !

Steve, we both use 3500's with the old 16" round Nuggetfinder coils.

Bill, a bad day of nugget hunting is better than a good day at work, but sometimes work pays a little more.

Mike C, it does look like a prison shank!, some oldtimer might of did some time in the big house and then turned prospector when he got out.
