New to the forum, but not to fossils

Recommended Posts

Hello fossil/rock/gem/anything else enthusiasts and collectors,

My name is Simon, I'm 17 years old and I live in San Francisco. I would have to say that I am a bit of a fossil geek, since I have been collecting them since I was 7. Due to the chaos of high school and the fact that I live in a city, I rarely get to go to fossil sites, though I have been to a few on occasion. I have been to the Penn-Dixie site in New York where I turned over rocks for hours, collecting parts of trilobites, horn coral, and some neat shells. My most exciting site visit, however, was Grand Junction Colorado in 2006. I visited an excavation site where I helped uncover a 2 foot long femur and a rib bone. I tend to type a lot, so I'll cut the description short and just post some pictures. I hope to learn a lot from people on here, and also teach whatever knowledge I have.

(a little hard to tell, last pic is a slice of dinosaur bone)
