homefire
Yep! You can do Welds with it.It requires you bypass the Regulator and have other provisions for the Field coil.
Hoser John
Almost the same idea as a Pelton wheel for electrical needs from water. Run many times and best I've ever seen---John

Nugget Shooter
Hear you also can make a windmill to charge batteries using an alternator or generator as well. Never have tried it though.Below is one example....http://www.dangerouslaboratories.org/altcharge.html
homefire
So far I came up with a 4hp motor with no carb. I got it to run on Propane by just sticking a tube from the Bottle into the intake port. LOL50 Amp Alternator.Still looking for some pulleys and a Frame to mount it on. homefire
Sense this post started I've built two. People keep offering me more for them then I needed them.. I have another 90 Amp Alternator here waiting for another engine to use. Anything less then 3HP is dodgy.
