Allen in MT
Was out to a place the other day and found this detector in a barn, owners didn't know anything about it and gave it to me. needless to say that after a good scrubbing it didn't fire up, but I did manage to salvage some parts, battery door, wire harness for batteries and battery holders, lower shaft and upper.the box was held to the shaft with a plastic keeper tie and the arrm cuff was cemented to the shaft but usable.Maybe it was last used in the barn and set in the corner for umpteen yearsAllen

Rick T.
You might be surprised what that would bring on eBay if you just cleaned it up a little bit. Anything can be fixed.Rick
garimpo
Allen before you scrap that 16000 why not email Minelab in Ohio and ask if they can fix it....probably don't have partsfor it anymore but an email isn't very expensive...there's still a few of those being used around here.... I'm betting it could be resurrected though. That thing looks like a relic that was found with a metal detector.Rick
nvchris
Must be the month for barn finds. This one works and was never used, well a few mice sampled the cuff and grip.
Hoser John
Old detectors never die---just like humans now---pieces and parts have always got a strong market be it metal or flesh----John
