hey guys im phil and i am new to the whole field of gold prospecting and i need some help. i used to pan for gold as a child in Montana and i have been wanting to make it a serious hobby. but i have no idea where to begin. has anybody read any books that they would recommend to a beginner prospector? thanks for your time

I have "The Rockhound and Prospector's Bible" by L.J. Ettinger.

It's more of a geological explaination as to "what's up".

Answers the question, "why is it where it is?".

Not just Gold but many sought after minerals.
