Terry Soloman
I was alone out in the Atlantic surf on Long Island yesterday at low tide, detecting in water up to my knees with waves just above my waist. It was 5:10 am, and the heavy fog had visibility down to around 25-feet. It was still pretty dark, and I was using my headlamp to see into my scoop to retrieve a target (which turned out to be fishing lure) when I saw the reflection of a silver 6" fish go swimming by. I smiled, retrieved the target and moved on. When I got home I told my gal about the fish swimming by and she said, "What if a Great White hits you in the shallow water, and in the dark and fog like that? Who's going to know?" Sometimes love bites..

highbanker58
Terry- Its amazing what you find in the surf, I was in the Virgin Islands last year at this time,I took my MXT onto the beach,I don't think it had been detected in a long time.I found a coin just about every step.I had to keep going back to the table and emptying my pockets, too many coins.Too much fun !!! MacGump
The real danger there are the Bullsharks--they love when the sky is overcast and water murky. Lived in Point Pleasant NJ for some time and I would not go near water in those conditions. Nice finds.
