TomH
Decided to give my homebuilt classifier a run today even though I was close enough to shovel the dirt in the hopper. It worked great! )3 2x2s, some expanded metal and some heavy canvas. It funnels the dirt into the bucket. With this if im down in a wash and have to haul buckets im hauling a lot more drywashing material then rocks to sluff off the hopper. It folds up to 4 inches flat for storage in the 4runner.Might make it out of 1" square aluminum tubing in the future...have to see how the wood holds up...this was a prototype.Gum
Dizzy
Nicely built Gum, and hopefully it'll help you get more gold in that drywasher..
vegas_vulture
Looks good...I built a similar one last week, but the expanded metal is the wrong size.My drywasher loves 1/8 but runs 1/4 and it saves processing time.Nice job
bigjasoni
Good idea. Every time I see one of these (or something similar) I tell myself I want to build one for sluice box purposes. You have inspired me yet again.
