ZMD
Is anyone still hunting around LSD? I have not seen any recent finds from the area?
SGTFDA
Bill , Ron and Mike cleaned out the area. The area has a new name BRM in memory of all the gold they recovered There is a few specks left they missed but most are lead
ZMD
It is cleaned out for me. I have been living with the skunk there the last several trips. Sure has been rough....
adam
It is not hard to get a skunk at the LSD. I have had a plenty Gold can be in the oddest places, and there is still plenty of it left in that area. Yes, it does get harder to find for sure, and maybe you should think about approaching an area differently then you think others have done already. The right coil in the right spots may make all the difference. The last nug I found there was dang near on the surface in a very short tributary on nasty ground. Dont fret , they are still out there :ph34r2:
Ant Man
Jason,How often do rattlers do that? Not rattling before you step on them sounds sorta unfair like.Paul
Hoser John
The younger they are the less they rattle as takes time to form rattle and they hit you with everything they have. When shedding or cold yet another bad time as they can't see and strike at just about anything. I utilize a metal pole for walking and ping that sucker on rocks as the sound carries far and wide and you can see them rattlers take off in the opposite direction as they don't know the sound and smart through millions of years of evolution. Beware of biting worms-baby rattlers as have seen death on a few occasions :whaaaa: --John
Nugget Shooter
There was a 9 grammer found last weekend and several smaller recently. Folks are not showing off as much these days and are opting to keep quiet about their finds. Was a 3/4 ounce found about a month back as well.... Goldfinger
With the price of gold over $1400.00 an ounce, I would be very quiet too. :hmmmmm: :twocents: Steve
ZMD
The last couple of nuggets I did squeeze from there were very close to the surface too, Adam. Good to see that the gold is still coming, thanks Bill. With the price of gold where it is, probably prudent to lay low...
GlennM
With the price of gold where it is, probably prudent to lay low...I would figure it would be more about the political environment. I'm sure they're trying to figure out a way to tax finds or edven just owning mining/prospecting equipment.
