Goldfinger
Anyone know of any dealers or sources of old maps of the various gold rush towns? I know they are out there but lost them awhile back.Steve

Jeff Pike
Steve,If you're interested, I have Large (3+ feet x 5 feet) color maps showing all of the Comstock Lode & Virginia City patented claims. I believe it is one from the 1800's and has been updated with new claims of historic importance and color coded. I will have to look up what we paid to have them made, it was by the square foot on a large-format color laser printer from a reprographic company. Pretty interesting for collectors. We use them as reference for our current gold project (and wall art too). Still working on those mineral specimen photos too... Cheers,Jeff

I know there's someone out there that was selling these but I lost the source. Not interested in Comstock lode area though. He had plat maps for ghost towns like Rawhide,Goldfield,Rhyolite and many others...Really looking forward to your photos. Not only great photography but some great specimens too.Steve

Bart709
This is not completely on point, but try:www.sanborn.com They are a company that creates maps that date back to the early 1800's for fire insurance. Some of the old town maps are still available. Freddy
