New gold Rush in NC

Recommended Posts

A second gold rush is under way in North Carolina.

Record prices for the flashy metal and a rich find just over the border in South Carolina and North Carolina are driving a quiet boom in exploration and land acquisition for a mineral that played a huge role in the state's early history.

Mining and exploration companies, many of them from Canada, are leasing mineral rights to thousands of acres in the Piedmont south and west of Charlotte. Will this hurt the weekender?

I think this is a great opportunity for local clubs and the GPAA chapters, to work together WITH the large mining companies in NC, to ensure everyone's continued success. - Terry

Yes,thats what I am hoping for. Most land is private. There is only one club LDMA with one claim in NC at vein mt.,SO It's not worth me pay over 1200usd for only one claim too mine in NC.More clubs more land to mine.I'll buy into that.

Charles: I'm downstream from LDMA and looking for someone with a high banker/dredge combo to split with me 70/30 on the gold and I keep all rocks & gem stones. If interested let me know.
