Nice job GSM. Just curious how many targets you estimate you dug to get those 4 little guys. I pounded an old patch today as

well. I only got 2 little guys similar in size to yours and I dug a least 100 targets trying to expand the patch. No expansion

for me, but my 2 little ones were right in the middle of the patch. I don't know how I missed them before. I am now using a

gpx5000. Were you using a modded 3500?

Hi Matt,

Thanks, This area was not worked by the old timers so there wasn't any trash today and there wasn't any in the patch I was working earlier this week. There is the occsional ironstone and once in a while there will be a boot tack or a rare 22 slug. It's not uncommon to go a couple of hours without digging a target.

I was using the 3500 today, how are you liking your 5000?

I'm just thankful the bar tender didn't leave and he hung around for the cheeseballs too or I wouldn't have an audience  !! Happy Huntin John B.

Hi John,

Superbowl Sunday probably hurt the gem show. I wish Scotty and I could have made it down to hear your talk, I bet you did an excellent job. Well maybe it was good that we didn't go ... things could have got ugly for the bar tender if we ran out of cheeseballs... :hahaha:

Good Morning bill, :spinnin:

you won't believe this but I was at that spot yesterday, I haven't been there sience that day we met you there. I didn't find any gold there but I found one nugget up at 18 ounce wash. I cut a side wall on my 10 ply michelins and my spare tire was no good. I had to call Scott to come and rescue me. :whoope: Here's the nugget.

Nice one Russ! I was back there and got 3 dinks I missed, but getting hard to snag one there these days. Did find a decomposed harmonica about 20 inches deep that had me some excited for the odd signal it gave :baaasmiley:

Tell the GB feller I said hey! :thumbsupanim

Hi Bill,

Nope... no harmonica. When you have some time it would be fun to hunt with you at 18 ounce wash... Maybe you can bring Mike C. along so he can try out his new beeper. Maybe Frank (Sarge) would like to come along also?

You'll got by cheap...how about a 300 mile drive($51.00 gas)...hotel one night($38.00)...weird noises below the

floor of the Toyota...headed back to the house(300 miles)($51.00 gas)...100 miles out things started smoking and

locking up...called a wrecker for the haul home...($200.00)...two weeks later a completely new transfer case and

gears ($3,500.00)...in all not bad I got to beep for two hours(no gold)... :wah2:

Anybody ever wonder why Sarge moved out West??..Ever see a cop drinking iced coffee and trying to eat a frozen donut??

Here's a clue why he chunked the East:

You got that right Don. Here is picture from the same time last year back in PA. 4 degrees back in PA this week and I'm outside in my underware shooting pigeons off the roof. You can't beat that.

Russ other than this Sat ( GPAP LSD outing that I'm committed to)I can go anytime. As far as that goes any of you guys need someone to go with I have nothing but time on my hands. I do go alone but in remote areas it's best to have someone with you. S@#t happens. My Wife hit at the casino and bought me a recirculating mini sluice and a gold miner panner and I've been screwing with that also. She also tossed in a SPOT locator. True love is a wonderfull thing.
