bonanzajoe
My buddy and I are mine hosts at the Bonanza Opal Mine in September and would like to know if there is any sense bringing our metal detectors along. We would have evenings and weekends to hunt for gold. Closest thing I coud find was Rye Patch but that's too far to commute from Bananza. I might add that we are from out east and our metal detecting has been limited to coin shooting. Or if you know of any other prospecting activites we could enjoy please let me know. Thanks in advance.
Bunk
Just where is the Bonanza Opal mine? I allways try to take at least on detector with me when I travel, you never know.Bunk
Goldfinger
It sounds like it's in the Virgin Valley area near Denio where most of the other opal mines are. I always say bring a detector along no matter where you go. You just never know what you might find while swinging one. Steve
richs
You may want to look into this. LINK It may be worth the money, I don't know the area so I really can't help you too much. You couldcheck to see if there are any old gold mines in that area. You can do this online easy enough. Good LuckRich
