Back in 61 I made my first from a kit from TandyCraft. A old school BFO but Redondo and all SoCal beaches were fulla gold and silver and paid for first cars,wine and women with them fantastic finds. John

Hi inOr,

You might also try the Geotech forums for more technical info. There is a wealth of info there on everything from detectors to coil building.

Building a PI is something one can do, but without adding a form of ground balancing, you will probably have to use a DD coil and many of the projects do not provide info for that mod so you can use a DD. Fortunately, the forum does have such info but you may have to search for it.
