Paseclipse
Hi All, I tend to stay out of the politics on the forums, but I just couldn't pass this one up and wanted to get the word out. Came across this on one of the 4WD forums I occasionally lurk on and I just wanted to pass it along and try to get more signatures for the petition-Opposition to 2010 Desert Potection ActIf you don't want to read all the information and just sign the petition go here-Sign the PetitionFor your affiliation... just say your with the Sierra Club! :hahaha: Sheesh man... will this crap EVER stop?!Del

frank c
Its all crazy nowadays, I heard on the radio yesterday Nevada stopped Calif. from hauling their GARBAGE to a site in NV. Let em keep their own GARBAGE, they want to keep everything pristine there and the hell with everybody else right ???? Thats what it seems like. :twocents:The bare facts are you're not going to stop these big time politicians, you need to get them out of office and by that I mean WE NEED ANOTHER ELLIOT NESS style group in power in public office that will steer the country 180 degrees away from its course.Instead of taking away from the public GIVE BACK TO THE PUBLIC. HunterJoe
I signed it! These dam markist, socialist and commy's are going to take all what our forefather, vets and solders fought for. I probably never see a desert but let freedom ring. I am only 39 and never served but I thank all you that have kept our way of life like it is. One of the next thing is cap and trade ( there goes industery) and something to do with BBS service. if the FCC gets a hold on the broadband spectrum all internet, news, radio and TV will be effected. Our freedom of speech may disappear. I listen to Glenn Beck and other conservitive talk all day and every day. Put 2 and 2 together and get the truth. The main streem media have the head so far up the left a-- they can not report the truth. I wish I had more time to get more involved but I work 3 jobs to make ends meet. Thank God for the 912'ers and the teapartiers. All I can say is Vote these idiots out( Reps, ind's and Dep's) and hopefully vote for some that will stand for freedom, security and the constitution. God Bless everyone! Good hunting from S. FL

Regarding offroad trail closures.. This stuff goes on and on and on... never stops. Most of these people who want to close the areas, have never ever even been out to some of these areas. I better stop now, It's Ruffling my feathers..Jon wspa #
Regmaglitch
Hi Del, I signed it. I don't want to end up telling my grandkids about how I sat by and let the "Green Gestapo" lock up all the "formerly public" lands, back when citizens had rights. Lucky Joe
#2447. It's a shame that the only people this type of misguided legislation affects are the ones who are utilizing and enjoying these lands to begin with. All for the sake of promoting some self-serving politician's career by proposing something that sounds good on paper to the general public. Problem is, all of us get dragged under the bus right along with the idiots who voted for these politicians.

HighPlainsSifter
Oh I get it....so if the topic is not about Prospecting, but does interest some of the more provledged members, then it is not blocked. I would never have guessed that.I would never have guessed that a trash dump has more to do with prospecting than illegals running up your back and having to go armed for protection when you go to your claims. My Bad! Bedrock Bob
The original poster intended for it to be a political post. He even said so in his introduction, and acknowledged the fact that it was political. The determining factor is that the dump is actualy ON a placer area. I believe that we can talk about illegals as long as we only talk about them being in a gold bearing area, seeing them while we are actively prosecting for gold, or seeing an illegal with gold teeth or chains. It has already been determined that talking about climate change is directly related to prospecting as long as the discussion REFUTES climate change. As in OGM's post a while back. There have been many discussions on how the cold weather PROVES that the Democrats are full of crap on climate change since the political forum was removed. You just dont dare point out any info that weather is not climate, or that the illustrations used indicate a complete ignorance of the subject.I hope that clears it up. If you want to discuss politics you just need one of teh good ol boys to start the thread and then dont disagree with tehm at all. As long as you abide by those rules political discussions are O.K.
