robbor
I just had a weird coincidence today. I was looking at piece of property to prospect on and looked it up on topo to look for bedrock, that was last night. Then today i for some reason searched and found the exact piece of property on listed for sale as a "unpatented mining claims". Can anyone advise? I dont know who owns the property and was still checking on that but geocommutatornt show any active claims. Just want to be in the right if i go poking around and wondering if someone is trying to sell something thats not theirs?
FrogMick
You need to check out the mining claim name at the county recorder's office of the county it is in to see if all the filings are up to date.
sawmill
Frogmick is 100 percent right. I had one claim that took over a year to show onGeo communicator. It is usually several months behindon actual claims, and there is active claims that havenever been added.
Guest
I would also go down to the BLM office and pull the mining claim file and check to be sure the claim papers are up to date. That way you can see the exact location of the claim and see if the claim is valid. Good luck.
