MSNBC is a silly reference to any and all info pertaining to vets.... go to Military.com for the real stuff!

How about the Associated Press? Is that good enough for you?

Here You Go!

If your a VET, Save this! You may need it some day.

Below are web-sites that provide information on Veterans benefits and how to file/ask for them. Accordingly, there are many sites that explain how to obtain books, military/medical records, information and how to appeal a denied claim with the VA. Please pass this information on to every Veteran you know. Nearly 100% of this information is free and available for all veterans, the only catch is: you have to ask for it, because they won't tell you about a specific benefit unless you ask for it. You need to know what questions to ask so the right doors open for you -- and then be ready to have an advocate who is willing to work with and for you, stay in the process, and press for your rights and your best interests.

my comment was very pertinent as msnbc is certainly not a good source for this kind of info. I offered an extremely good and reliable source of information.

Along with commentary about my post. Again, you couldnt just offer another link, you had to be less than nice (hope that passes the grade this time). In the future, it would be nice to have you not comment on anything I post as I have not comment on your posts until now. But as you are protected by the powers that be here, I gain satisfaction in knowing that you probably make your own life a living hell, with no help from me. :hahaha:

ps...I will say this again, apparently on this occasion, your "opinion" about the msn's post on gulf war vets, didnt hold any gold. :twocents:

Skip,

The above “quoted commentary” by HPS is getting ridiculous…..El Dorado could have used any number of adjectives in lieu of “silly” in his original post to describe his opinion of MSNBC e.g. biased, poor, unreliable, etc. in their reporting on veterans affairs, to which he added a much better link for us to view!

How in the world did El Dorado’s comment bare this type of additional commentary from HPS?

ROFLMAO....."interject myself" :hahaha: :hahaha: :hahaha:

What part of an "open public forum" did you miss :???: or does the state of Ohio have restrictions on free speech that are administered in a different way across the country to others???

Have you ever heard the adage of "screwed the pooch"?.....Its lingo an aircraft pilot uses meaning 'Crash and Burn'.....you sure managed to accomplish that again  :yuk-yuk:

Gary

BTW, easy Skip. I know how tough it may be, but it does have relevence to the cast of charactors!

I find the label "Open Forum" Laughable at best. If this were a true open forum, then there would be no censorship. But as this is not an open forum and members are not allowed to speak their minds, then your analogy, is quite incorrect. I have no idea what the "state of Ohio" does, but free speech, open speech, First Amendment rights, do not preclude the allowance of any kind of censorship or deletion of remarks or membership to American Citizenry, unless those words infringe upon others First Amendment rights.

It would be nice if you knew what you were disagreeing with, before you interject yourself into a disagreement, yet again. Your attempt at flowery speeach is just that, an attempt. As this thread was started as an informative one for Gulf Wars vets, even Eldorado's denegrating post was better than yours. Please stay on topic, unless there are no topics you really anything about. Then just stay away and we will all be better for it.

Let me see if I can provide a comprehensive reply to El Dorados "initial words" and the above quote as noted by HPS without getting busted or hung by the yard arm.

HPS.....

1. The “link” was in fact valid.

2. The informational SOURCE was also valid, but also “silly” when considering the reporting venue, MSNBC.

3. No one doubts your ability to “read”…..however what is in question here is the ability to comprehend the written words as typed to an open public forum and not take them literally as an attack or offence against yourself.

4. Your POSTS have NOT been Deleted…..Skip the moderator, has taken great care to properly allow any difference of opinion within the realm of the posted forum rules and only made a judgement call on his part to ‘delete’ your own words which did in fact “attack” El Dorado for his use of the word “silly” in his reply thereafter. The word silly is descriptive toward MSNBC and not an insult or attack on you the person, who provided the link.

I’d like to further add, the censorship you make note of on this forum is there for good reason…..the forum is an open public forum! “Open” only implies a welcome to post / start comment regarding a topic at large and allowing for oppinion regarding the “topic” and “topic source” to be commented on by others!

BTW, free speech does exist here…..however, remember this forum is a “business” and doesn’t fall into any other category. If the boss decides to shread your memo or fire you, what part of “free speech” are you going to use in your defence?

And…..”Good Ol' Boy syndrome at its finest”!?? That quote really says a lot about the ‘chip’ on your shoulder against some of the forum members here, give it a break!

Gary

Stay strong Skip!

Alright guys,

I have moderated this thread 3 times, 1 edit/partial deleted post and 2 deleted posts.

I would very much like for all animosities to stop here and let this thread get back on track.

Please stop judging each other and keep replies on topic, any further replies that are not totally on topic will be deleted!!

Thanks,

Well, I think you took El Dorado's comment pretty hard. I think it is obvious he doesn't like MSNBC, and you did provide the link, but you were the one who got the ball rolling with some initial info., so that is a good thing, just maybe difference of opinion about MSNBC, and...maybe politics. (Personally,I don't care for PMSNBC either, but that's just me...full disclosure of my position). I don't blame you for defending yourself, what vet wouldn't? I just think the dispute is just huff about much that you could forget if you two met in person. El Dorado is a nice guy in person...not saying he's not online, but I think he puts an extra bite into things online, kind of like how John B. gets a little silly online, but if you met them both in person, you would think they're all right guys. Just my mumbling two cents. RCB out.
