VegasRocker Posted February 25, 2010 Share Posted February 25, 2010 Blasting expected to cause more delays on U.S. 93 near Hoover DamPHOENIX -- Road construction including blasting and paving will likely cause travel delays on U.S. 93 near Hoover Dam.The Arizona Department of Transportation is moving forward on the U.S. 93, Hoover Dam to Milepost 17 project which is expected to bring more efficient travel to northwestern Arizona by the end of 2010.Crews plan to blast Wednesday at milepost 3 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Motorists can expect 30-minute delays and alternate routes through Laughlin are advised.Road crews are also paving phase one of the new southbound alignment of U.S. 93. Paving operations will start at milepost 17 and move north through the project to milepost 10.
