Basaltgooroo
Jim's doesn't sound on a detector. It's a L. It faintly stuck to my magnet.

Regmaglitch
Hi Guys, I cleaned and weighed Nate's stuff for him while on his way back to Tucson. The stone he's talking about is very different from the usual Franconias and Buck mountains. The color is more red than usual. The texture inside and outside is much finer. Also, there are no telltale iron blobs showing inside or outside. That's unusual as most Franconias are visibly like a chocolate chip cookie, showing lots of iron, in and out. Also, the magnet-pull was less than a Franconia of similar size. After handling it, I really think it's something else. After I resize some pics of it, I'll post them. Kaimi
Aloha Nate,Very nice specimen you got there. Yes, it should match up with the one Mike found earlier. When I first saw it I was amazed at its coloring and texcture. Looks like we might have a couple of new specimens that we all need to start searching for out there.Good work Nate!Aloha,Stan aka Kaimi
