Goldfield NV

Howdy Gang, looks like the Gov't is once again considering Goldfield, NV as a National Park or something similar to preserve the history of one on NV's largest mining districts. Here is the link from the local news channel. Jason :;):

Hi Jayray, Love the town of Goldfield one of the best and most productive coin shooting ghost towns in Nevada. Have found alot of silver coins there.but the last time I was there about 4 years ago the police told us most of the town was bought up by a casino owner in Las Vegas who did allow detecting on his property. We went east of town to the old tent city and did quite well anyway. Hope it does not happen we have lost too much already. Take care Jason hope to meet up with you again. Bob

Beeper Bob,

I wonder if the considered land grab isn't a payoff by Reed to the casino owner or owners for their support(monetarily) to Him over the years? In these hard times, I'm sure they are extremely hard up for cash. What better way to multiply your investment by 10, 100, 1000, or maybe 10,000 times the original investment!

Just my opinion, they are all a bunch of crooks! The politician gets larger dollar contributions from the casino owners and much larger total dollar contributions from the casino employees. Ain't it sweet, a flock of socialists involved the dirtiest fringe of capitalism.

All Reed and others had to do was screw the miners! Reed keeps his environmental base and the soft heads that follow! What a sweet deal, wonder how many of the so called straights follow in lockstep with him?

It's up to us, who is going to challenge crooked government? As for myself, I have contributed so far, what I think I can get past my wife. Don't misunderstand me, I've gone way beyond what my total contributions have been for any year, to any group of organizations. Unfortunately, the other organizations have not so far contributed their support to our causes. Guess what they didn't get S##t, and never will, until they start supporting us!!!

Hi Dean, You are right about Reid and the rest of them. I do not believe anything they say anymore. At the time my friend and I could not figure out why a casino owner would invest in the empty lots and run down building there in Goldfield. It does make sense if the government buys it up with our money the casino owners will profit from it. Bob

There are still known lower grade deposits in the ground in and around Goldfield. How would you like to be a claim owner around there. You were thinking that as gold went up your claims might become real valuable. Ooops, now your mining claims are worthless, because you'll never get permits to mine around a national park or anywhere within 50 miles of a national park. Just one more anti-mining, anti-job special from the Socialist democtrat party.

These are the exact words that I have been posting for sometime. Yet there are still people on this forum that do not think that this is or will happening, even though it is happening all over the country. Slowly but surely there will be no place for the common prospector to enjoy his craft. Chris you being one of the experts, I have been reading different articles on the web about large mining operations and I have a question. Do you think one agenda is that the Government will take control of all mining operations in America?

I ask, because some of the "green" legislation that is in the works, looks like it is pointing that way. There are also companies like GE that have donated healthy amounts to the Democrats and are very interested in procuring and processing metals. I believe that "Green Legislation" can go a long way in securing the land and contracts that the Government and their favorite son companies can then capitalize on. Already I am hearing legislatio bandied around about the Socialists taking more control over the Oil companies.

Oil Compaines they might take over or just have the private sector run them and tax them to the point where all profits go to the Govm't.

Mining - I think they want to shut that down, not take over.

We are indeed becoming an Obamanation.

With that said, then they are commiting to using metals from other countries, which costs us bth monetarily and jobs. Geesh, I am so sick of all this. I almost want Obama to get everything he/they want so it all screws up. Perhaps from the edge, we can bring it all back to the way it should be.

Thanks Chris
