nugget7
The Southwest Prospectors newest claim is eastern end of the Cargo Muchacho mountains. One full day there did not turn up any nuggets but, looks like it may be a very good drywashing location. GARY SMITH
Does your club still have the claim on Banner grade??? And the video says "west" of the dunes, and "east" of Yuma. I think the E & W are mixed up!!!

GARY SMITH
Thanks Herb. Was there a few years ago with some members. Was on my way to the rear of your claim, out by the Oriflamme. Might check out the Website on Yahoo and join.
Herb
Gary Did you know that if you join S.P.M.A you become a charter member of GPAA. Not a bad deal. Gives you more options when your out there. Regards Herb
Gilaoro
The SPMA has got some very good cliams lately, an excellent crystal claim over near Warner Springs also. I was once cartetaker at the Jackson Gultch claims where the big trommel was, there was one spot there thats always produced nuggets. We got to work the days ground after the trommel shut down for the day, a lack of suficent water and a flash flood but it out of business, then the American G. mine closed and that shut down the water well. The ony trouble in the Cargos is the snowbirds, they file and refile over themselfs and everybody else and some of them are gun pullers who don't beleive you can do anything you want except mine on their claims, in fact the SPMA lost some of there best claims out there and a few members over an inavertent higrading and gun pulling incident a few years back. There is also some very dangerous caving ground around some of the old shafts and not a few people in cars and on MCs have ran off into them. I beleive the last incident that happened when I still lived in Yuam was two guys in a Samuri who hung up about a 100 feet down and where rescued after several hours, only found because of a whitness! srferjo714
We were there last month and got two nuggets from Cargo Muchacho also used our Gold Cradle for some pickers. And also worked the pot holes claims and then went up two the Betty B claim at La Paz placers and got 3 more. I have been working the La Paz claims for the last year. The Quartzsite claims are great in the summer the winter has a lot of snow birds. SPMA members remember to do the claim paper work when you get home and send it in. Gilaoro
srferjo714, Good deal on the nuggies! The Betty B . is a good claim, easy acess and under utilized. When I was running my oversize load escort business out of Blythe I often drove out to it on layover time and did some detecting, them litte nuggets hide real well in some of those spots, beating the brush and rough spots is productive, if you can't stand up on the ground then you are in the right spot, especialy if you have your detector in one hand and a cactus root in the other! Continued good luck to you. Max We were there last month and got two nuggets from Cargo Muchacho also used our Gold Cradle for some pickers. Another club i belong to has the goodman placer claim behind Betty B.
