Ok, so today I've decided not to drywash but to huntr with the detector. So far its junk 20 nuggets 0. I'm going to switch detector fr the rest of the day to the cibola because I found a decent spot with a load of bullet shells. Who knows maybe once they are gone There will be a nugget to find.

After 2 hours I'm pooped out, hot and my left shoulder has determined I have had enough today. I've got at leaast a pound or more of brass and a crap load of crap, mostly rusty iron junk.

Jim remember this RATIO it has worked for me when I first started to find nuggets 100 to 1

It seems you will find about a hundred "things " to 1 nug. Then after you get the hang of it and the sounds start to fall into mental catageories you change the ratio somewhat depending on the area you're huntn.

This week it's jawbone canyon. Lots of bullet shells but when it's too hot I watch movies and surf the net.
