NewBe
Hej every one. I have found these some weeks ago and it was hard to say what it was from yhe out side so i made an apointment with mr. saw and then with mr. sand and then with mr. white powder (not the drug) nad these are the results. I´m sorry for a relly confiusing input i´w written. i´ll try again. The pic. just below is meteorite (15Kg) i have chipt some peaces of it and got a chondrul out. 10-15m south east is one more that is chondrul rich. I have made the nikkel test and it´s positive, magnet test positive, fusion crust yes on parts of it ( the part that pointed up in towerds the sky beause the bottom is in constant kontakt with salt water and oxygen) it has rounded eges thou this could happen with constant transport of sand i the water but i don´t thing it has been there for a long time they probobly fell out from the clay wall under a storm because they where 50cm from the wall and 4m from the sea. The waves will rerly go that for up as there island land around (it looks like a creater on a map If you ´want to look it up type Stege Bugt on google earth) The huge boulder (look below) is another story as it slightly atracted by a magnet, the top of it has fussion crust but hwen i looked at bottom of it there was no crust at all. the clay walls here are about 7-8 meters high and is inbeded into the sand. The location is defferent then above (Klint holm walking towards Møns klint following the beach) the other 2 i found in Kalvehave. As i don´t have a metel detector i have relly on my eyes and i think i´m getting good at it. http://i578.photobucket.com/albums/ss223/M...en/P5120017.jpg These pics. are small peaces from the other one i chipt off. http://i578.photobucket.com/albums/ss223/M...en/P5130044.jpg http://i578.photobucket.com/albums/ss223/M...en/P5130043.jpg http://i578.photobucket.com/albums/ss223/M...en/P5130055.jpg http://i578.photobucket.com/albums/ss223/M...en/P5130057.jpg This one is from a huge boulder from wich i chipt of a peace. http://i578.photobucket.com/albums/ss223/M...en/P5130041.jpg This is one i found in very low tide. http://i578.photobucket.com/albums/ss223/M...en/P5130046.jpg This one is. Take a look. It has 2-3 squers and they are allmost perfect. Taking it under considaration it has cool down slower the those that have chondruls. http://i578.photobucket.com/albums/ss223/M...en/P5130050.jpg Good hunting Mikael. butter
This picture makes me think it’s the real deal http://i578.photobucket.com/albums/ss223/M...en/P5130043.jpg But I have only been looking for meteorites a couple of weeks now.
NewBe
This picture makes me think it’s the real deal http://i578.photobucket.com/albums/ss223/M...en/P5130043.jpg But I have only been looking for meteorites a couple of weeks now. The pic. bellow is the same peace it´s taken from behind and the chondrull is stiking out and that reminds me that those cuold be armed chondrules. As for the others the iron is scatterd all around the stone. As recall earthstones do not have scaterd iron like this but in vains and usual acompanede with qurts and gabor (type of granit) or other granit types. Good hunting Mikael. Basaltgooroo
Looks good to me! Take it to a university to get it classified. [Erik]
Regmaglitch
Hi Mikael, I agree, the distribution of the iron does not look terrestrial. You should send a piece into a university meteorite lab for analysis. It looks very good to me. Ben
NewBe
Hi Mikael, I agree, the distribution of the iron does not look terrestrial. You should send a piece into a university meteorite lab for analysis. It looks very good to me. Ben Thanks Ben. But there is a snag by sending them in because the law is not in the favor of the finder. If is send them in the goverment will make a claim on them and i will get 10% of it´s total value(asses and keys i danish røv og nøgler) and i relly enjoy holding them i my hands and look at them it is an undiscribeble feeling. So i rather keep them. If there was a better payment then this and could keep speciment i would in fact turn them in but as 10% will not even cover the exspences of mailing them a speciment. Simply does not pay of in any way. It´s like being robed in day light. The big boulder i could send a speciment in as can´t haul a 10 ton haevy meteorite in. I rather trade with people for other meteorites. allthought it´s against the law. If some one would come to DK. i would be more then happy to take you out for a meteorite Hunt. just send me a mail in advance.

Basaltgooroo
I'm sure you can find someone that can classify them privately. I believe there's one or two people that do that.
