Hej every one.

I was wondering about if there are chondrul look alike in earth rocks or does chondruls only exist in meteorites?

If some one could help out this headecke i will not have a headecke any more.

Some terrestrial rocks can appear to have mock chondrules.

Chondrules were formed from the dust floating around in the early universe.

They stuck together do to their gravity. (this process is called accretion).

The early planet Earth was made up of all the chondrules and outerspace junk that

was accreted together but the mass of the planet got so large that differentiation*

melted the chondrules. All the iron leached to the core and the lighter elements

made up the earths mantel and crust.

*differentiation is when the radio active isotope of aluminum breaks down releasing heat

that "smelts" the protoplanet.

Thats why chondrules are not found in earth rocks.

I agree with Erik. But I have been fooled by false chondrules before. I'm almost certain this is just an olivine basalt mix, and it has what appear to be chondrules all over the place. (Most notably in the bottom, center)
