Benz
So i was doing some testing. I was testing with a lead pellet. If i cut the pellet in half i can pick it up at about 1 inch. a full pellet at 2-3 inches. BBs come in better. i can pick up a bb about 4 inchs. Uncle Ron
I've found many nuggets with my GMT before I switched to Minelab...From my experience, you probably are looking at a max of around 9 - 10 inches in moderate mineralization on a 3 dwt nugget...Deepest (non-car fender) target I ever found with the GMT was a .45 slug at 16" .... But when I switched to a PI (sd2100) I went back over old ground I'd covered with the GMT and pulled ounces...But it is a great detector for the dinks that the ML might miss...Cheers, Unc
EbonBetta
I guess the question I want to know is . If the sd2100 went first does that mean there would still be the flakes left for the GMT to get ?

I often wonder how many large and deep nuggets that I miss with the GMT? Silver Doug
