Herb
Hi All Been browsing for a while. Great info! Best site out there. Great bunch of people (very willing to help). Anyhow My question is, Will the coils from my GP Ext. work on a TDI? It seems that I may get one for a song and Probably have to throw in a dance. I have a little joey a 17/10 mono and 23/12 coiltek, and also the two stock ML coils. Any input or experience with this would be appreciated. Thanks Herbhttp://www.nuggetshooter.ipbhost.com/style_emoticons/smileone/hmmmmmm.gif
kenn
Hey Herb, I have a GP3000 and a TDI, you should not have any problems with a Coiltek or Minelab mono. I have heard some Nugget Finder coils will not work because of the way some of them were wound. Also, I would not use DD coils, not that they would not work but I don't think (really not sure) the TDI will take advantage of them and you would probably get poor performance. LB Dave
I have a TDI and love it, My partner just got a GP EXT. I plan to try some of his mono coils to see how they work. I have read several articles, and talked to several knowledgable people and it was decided that the mono coils are interchangable. It was also decided that the TDI would probably not utilize or need the DD coil configuration.
Robby_H
"I have heard some Nugget Finder coils will not work because of the way some of them were wound". Eric Foster posted something re this. I think it only applies to the reverse wound DDs. All NF mono coils should work okay. Rob.
kenn
Rob you are correct. It was some of the DD nugget finders might not work, the mono coils would be ok. Thanks for correcting me.
Herb
Hi Guys Thanks for the info! Excellent feedback, I have the TDI in my shaky hands. It should make a great addition to my GMT. I will be offloading a couple of detectors at a reasonable price in the near future. MXT and GP EXT. But I want to work with the TDI for a while first. Had both of them for a while, you know, attachment issues. Betting Ill work it out. Thanks again Herb

Also, there is a new instructional video just released, available from your Whites dealer or through Jimmy Sierra. Good to see if you are just curious or want some more info on how it works.
