I know this post does'nt belong here. But since this forum has the most replies I figure it gets the most viewers.

And with todays state of affairs I really think we all could profit from a grin, or a laugh. A smile seems to be one of the hardest things I've been able to get or give for quite a while, and I've really based my life around giving one for 57 years, as I was taught as a youngster to have a smile for everyone you meet in life.

Well here's the little tid bit of knowledge I came across in my files today that made me smile and I hope to pass that smile on to all who read it. It may have come around before but even if it did its worth reading again .

RETIREMENT PLANNING

If you had purchased $1000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago, it would

now be worth $49.00.

With Enron, you would have had $16.50 left of the original $1000.00.

With WorldCom, you would have had less than $5.00 left.

If you had purchased $1000 of Delta Air Lines stock you would have

$49.00 left

If you had purchased United Airlines you would have nothing left.

But, if you had purchased $1,000.00 worth of beer one year ago, drank

all the beer, then turned in the cans for the aluminum recycling

REFUND, You would have had $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment advice is to drink

heavily and recycle.

It's called the 401-Keg Plan
