pondmn
Hey Jim I plan on seeing you at the Rendezvous. The West Coasters will have their annual rendezvous at the Rancho Jurupa Park in Riverside on April 25, 26th and 27th. There will be coin shoots for all ages including children. There will also be a gold panning contest and bingo on Friday night. The ten plus hunts range from free to twenty-five dollars. There are camping facilities with prior registration. Everyone has a good time at the hunts with a lot of fellowship and friendly competition. Competitors of all ages and levels will attend. This is a well attended event with prizes reanging from cash to gold coins to silver rounds and silver coins as well as clad. Several raffles are going on with neat prizes. Don't miss this event if you want to have a great time. Jerry :icon_mrgreen:
Uncle Ron
Yo, Guys, is this a club event? If so, what club? Cheers, Unc
pondmn
Hey Unc look at my post in upcoming events. It is the Westcoasters Prospectors and Treasurer Hunters Club from Riverside. You might want to grab some maps and come on over as there are vendors there also. Jerry
jim straight
Hey everyone... to cut to the "quick" (quick... whata joke, I'm a slow typest). For those of you who get Lost Treasure magazine it is listed in the "calender of events. To give a quick summary... For info contact Ralph Crowther His email is <rcrowther@earthlink.net>... his phone is (949) 588-2922. His address is 26722 Valipariso Dr. Mission Viejo CA. 92691. For more, check <www.westcoasters.org> The club meets monthlyat the Garden Grove Women's Club.. 9501 Chapman Ave Garden Grove Ca. However, the Rendezvous is held at Rancho Jurupa Campground in Riverside. Their phone is (951) 684-7032. The hunt is held in the "primitive area" just over the fence from the grassy full hookup area. More info: the WC are a very active group. Members go to England to hunt for hammered coins, they hunt old rubbish dumps, some even go back east to the grand national relic hunt. We even had a member who detected in New Zealand. Members belong to the AMDA, Federation, PLP. They are involved in beach hunting, coinhunting. However, the club doesn't have any mining claims, but most of us are dual members with the PCSC who have several claims in the El Paso/Randsburg area, We are active in using detectors in crime scene investigations for several police departments. They have their "ducks in order." They plant the field in smaller squares marked out with rope. Each square is planted equally. So it is fair for all. Pondmn was there last year. He is returning this year. For anymore details he is the man to ask... As for me, my first was in 1988 and I have attended all of them. rick.ther
I was attending these hunts but am unable to this year. I have never been to an event that was as well run as this. The west coasters really put on a great hunt and general great time. the hunts are fair and timely. The environment is very family friendly. It is a truely enjoyable time.
