rokdodger
Allen Great pics Reminds me of some the old mines I've been to! Back in the mid to late 60's we used to have to "borrow" track and ore cars and the like from these old mines so we could move our own tailings/muck as we drove tunnel to get to the "paydirt" in the old river channel "did see some nice gold back then! again great pics! keep them coming! rokdodger :innocent0009:
29 Prospector
Allen, Again, thanks for thip trip down memory lane. Paleface, You will enjoy these. I work a hoist house for a week. I think that was the longest week I ever worked. I'll take underground any day. Ol'29er
Nugget Shooter
Very neat photos to be sure and I just love looking at all that old equipment. It is impossible to imagine the equipment and work that went into recovery back then and being able to see it is really cool. Bill

My step father was a hoistman at several of the mines that I worked in, Antlers copper mine outside of Yucca and at the COD silver mine just outside of Kingman. I would fill in for him at times when he was off. Similar to the one pictured, only single drum. I just love that old Gardner Denver compressor, has to be one of their first.
