Mr Hunter Man
Hello to all, Here are some photos of my campo that I sliced and etched, I got eight or nine slices and endpieces. Here are the latest two that I have polished and etched, I will post the rest soon, they are just as beautiful, I really like the before shots, they really make the etch more amazing. I think that the first one looks like a lizard head, luckily the etch worked out with the lizard face ;D. The second one is a really beautiful slice, I thought I would share with all. Enjoy, Joe Kerchner http://illinoismeteorites.com/campo_slice_etched_lizard.htm http://illinoismeteorites.com/campo_slice_etched.htm

Boba Debt
Nice etches. Do you mind if I ask which acid solution you use, it looks like you got a high degree of contrast.
Mr Hunter Man
I use Denatured Alcohol and Nitric Acid, 92.5/7.5. I etch different than I have ever heard of anyone doing. Missy etched a meteorite for me and made a "Mistake", at the time we thought it was anyway, but it turned out very beautiful and probably one of the best etches I've seen. I now use her method. Best Wishes, Joe Kerchner
