  1. Do you happen to have the publisher/publishing info on these publications? I know they covered 1915-1977, do you have the Date, ISBN, anything?

  3. Well, the area we're working is producing pickers when creviced and panned out. I decided to locate potential targets with the GM1000 and work only those areas of bedrock. Turns out we have better "luck" just crevicing the area than using a detector to mark targets. I stopped marking the targets and just started working the area and BOOM, pickers. The number of false targets the detector (on any setting) produced is/was unacceptable, just a waste of time.

  6. out at Lynx Creek with the Gold Monster 1000, identified and marked 7 targets on bedrock, all read ALL GOLD (full right side of indicator). cleaned the bedrock down with brushes, filled the pan and NOTHING ... not a single spec ... went back over the marked target area and not a peep outta the GM1000 ... Went down to the creek to work tailings piles and got a bunch of ALL GOLD targets, guess what?! Yep, NOTHING but rusty metal reading ALL GOLD (full right side of indicator) on the GM1000 ...

  9. This is interesting ... What tests are being ran on your dry bed particulate? As I have read and tried to understand it, Sodium Thiosulfate binds to AU, then processing further via electrowinning gold is extracted. This is neat. We used something similar when I worked in the plating industry, the flotation cells were used to keep metals suspended in our processes. https://www.google.com/search?q=sodium+thiosulfate+gold+extraction
  10. How do flocculants (clarifying/flocculating agents) affect gold recovery? Do these agents act detrimentally to the recovery process? Do they attach themselves to gold particles similar to Sodium Thiosulfate?
  11. These were GOVERNMENT signs posted ON club claims, not club made signs. What is f#@%ing hilarious; is that these laws do not apply to areas that are easily monetized, policed and patrolled for forced compliance! i.e. Lake Pleasant, Lynx Lake and all the other bodies of water and their tributaries ... so YES, the sky IS falling ... I did read the AZ state law. I was looking for more insight/information.
  12. Seriously, gold in my pan in the field looks way bigger than when I get home and process out the black sand. What gives? Is this some kind of black magic voodoo magnifying trickery going on with the green pan, black sand, sun, water and dehydration or is it just some twisted psychological effect of finding gold?
  13. I read the ACTUAL LAW. I asked a couple SIMPLE ass questions and you respond with your garbage. 1. What was their thinking when this was passed? 2. How does this work for claims? I ran across some govt signs posted at club claims prohibiting any and all camping, so I got curious and came home and RESEARCHED. Came across the actual law and then came here for some additional insight.
  14. So, what was their thinking when this was passed? How does this work for claims?

  19. We're members of RoadRunner. She just started going out with me over the past month. She bought herself a GM1000, but figured out she HATES metal detecting, the shear amount of bullets and trash on RoadRunner claims has crushed her spirits metal detecting. About 12-13 years ago I took her out to one of Woody Wampler's gigs and she loved the whole panning thing, so, I switched gears with her and decided to take her out panning. We've been panning Lynx Creek every weekend for over a month now. She loves to crevice bedrock, doesn't mind shoveling and filling buckets. She's still getting th
