  1. More pictures here https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-6659201/Meteor-EXPLODES-small-town-western-Cuba-pelting-homes-fragments-space-rock.html
  2. Looks like a pretty good chunk fell in Cuba today... https://www.cnn.com/2019/02/01/americas/meteorite-cuba/index.html
  3. It looks like the leftovers from an old glass furnace factory. I used to collect some of that stuff as a kid in Maryland growing up.
  4. Maybe some of you guys know this story. Thought it was interesting... THE ROCK THAT FELL TO EARTH How a meteorite hunter’s obsession took him from the mountains of Colorado, to the Bundy Ranch, and eventually landed him in jail https://www.theverge.com/2018/6/25/17492902/meteorite-hunting-authentication-steven-curry-montrose-colorado
  5. This reminds me of the story of a girl that found an Ammonite fossil in Bend, OR. If you know anything about Bend, it's surrounded by volcanoes and lava flows. Really not possible so someone either dropped it or it came in on a load of dirt from somewhere else. We'll never know https://www.cnn.com/2018/03/21/health/oregon-child-finds-ancient-fossil-trnd/index.html
  6. Long time lurker but I what I lack in meteorite knowledge I know about weather. I usually look at the Climate Prediction center's forecast. There are so many things in play locally from the El Nino/La Nina cycle to the Pacific Decadal Oscillation that come into play. I'll leave it to the computers models to try and figure it all out... looks like Arizona will be hotter and drier than normal three months out. Here is the three month forecast for heat
